August 2008: The iPhone was pretty new, an iPad was out of sight, there were only a handful of apps on the App Store. I really just wanted to create a note taking app for my own purpose. So I started writing the first lines of code of Notebooks, and a few months later, in December 2008, I released Notebooks 1.0.
15 years later: Notebooks has grown and evolved into version 12 for iPhone and iPad and into version 3 for macOS. Dozens of note taking apps are available on the App Store, but Notebooks still holds its own space with its unique feature set. We still actively develop it, and we do have a huge list of ideas of what to add and improve – thanks to our users’ feedback, requests and comments.
So it is time again to thank all of you for your support, your ideas and suggestions, and for your motivation. We are looking forward to the next 15 years 🙂
