Gestures on iPhone & iPad
When viewing a document on your iPhone or iPad, you can use the following gestures, in addition to those provided by iOS:
- Swipe Left or Right Across the Document
- Move to the next or previous document. An info bar briefly displays last modification date and sequence number in the current book.
- While editing, this gesture can dismiss the keyboard.
- Swipe Up and Down
- Scroll through the document’s content as expected.
- Notebooks remembers the scroll position and restores it the next time you open the document.
- Two-Finger Tap
- Switch to full screen mode. Tap again to return to normal view.
- On iPad, tapping a PDF with two fingers switches to a more comfortable PDF view with thumbnails.
- Two-Finger Tap and Hold
- Scroll to the bottom of the document.
- To scroll to the top, just briefly tap the status bar (this is a standard iOS gesture).
- Tap the Title in the Navigation Bar
- Access the Title Menu, which provides actions for the current document.
- From here, open the Go to… dialog to quickly access other books or view the Recent Items list (if enabled in Settings).
- Tap and Hold the Back button (iPhone, or iPad with Column View turned off)
- Open the list of parent books for the current item. Tap any of the entries to jump to the corresponding book.
